A simple, realistic order to learn things in over your first weeks.
There is no single required order for learning after the shahada, but new Muslims often find a rough sequence helpful so that nothing feels overwhelming all at once. Use this as a loose guide, not a race.

Practical steps

1
Learn wudu (ritual washing) and practise it until it feels natural.
2
Learn the essential words of one full prayer using the phrases guide.
3
Start praying the five daily prayers, even imperfectly at first — consistency matters more than perfection early on.
4
Learn a few short daily duas (supplications) for waking, eating, and leaving the house.
5
Find a local mosque or online community for support and questions.
6
Begin reading the Qur'an in translation, a little each day.
7
Tell someone you trust — family or a close friend — when you feel ready, at your own pace.
A shallow-but-correct starting guide covering only the shared essentials every school agrees on. For your specific situation, ask a local imam or teacher.
